Run Thornhill Run is a run for the community of Islington. It is an annual fundraiser to raise money for our dream library. The run will take place on Sunday 23 June 2019 at 10am. Everyone is welcome. Arrive at Highbury Fields, Highbury Place - to the right of the Better Gym where the ice-cream van normally is - at 9.30am on June 23 for the warm up. The race will start at 10am.
Runners are encouraged to seek sponsorship and there will be prizes for those who raise the most money.
People are being asked to raise money through the Virgin Money donation site and also paper forms available through the school
On the day of the run, generous goody bags will be handed out and there will be games and activities for all. And cake! There will be cake!
Each child will get a goody bag donated by Hamptons.
We have great prizes for the most sponsorship raised, including cash prizes and Little Angel Theatre tickets
Picnic - Bring a picnic for afterwards.
Not a runner? Not a walker? Not a skipper? Be a cheerleader! Come and support us on the day or be a steward. You can also donate using the button below

The run is a fundraiser for our new dream library at Thornhill. We are asking all runners to seek sponsorship from friends and family. Virgin Giving makes it easy to do this through the link below.
The children will be able to use this link or a paper sponsorship page available when signing up in the playground
Generous prizes will be given to those who raise the most money.
Our key sponsors this year are Third Space - the family gym that is launching in September in Islington. The estate agency Hamptons have been a long term supporter of Thornhill Primary and once again are behind Run Thornhill Run. Along with generous support from Hamptons and Third Space, the run is being sponsored by the following fantastic brands:
- Udderlicious on Upper Street have provided a voucher for £25 worth of ice-cream
- Perea Clinic will be on site giving massages after the run. Perea specialises in remedial, sports and massage therapies. Join Perea Clinic on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th of July for a free 30 minutes Reformer or Mat Pilates Taster Classes. www.pereaclinic.com
- Little Angel Theatre have donated two tickets to see their Autumn show The Everywhere Bear
You Don't Have to Go Fast. You Just Have to Go!
Walk it, run it, skip it! We are going to run this race as a team!
Over the next couple of weeks, Liz Sandles and Third Space will be leading the children in their preparation for the run. This is a great chance for everyone to get fit! Liz, our fitness advisor will be offering free training guidance to adults and children in the playground on Friday mornings (8.45am-9am). Liz runs fitness classes in Outer Space on Monday and Fridays after drop offs. On Sunday mornings at 10.30 in Arundel Square she will also be running a fitness bootcamp - doing drills to get you ready to run!
